Charity Sew Day: Pillowcases with a Purpose

We'll have sergers set up for you to use.
Join us for a special day of sewing, friendship, and giving back! Together, we'll create colorful pillowcases for children in a Michigan orphanage. Small gifts that bring comfort, kindness, and a reminder that someone cares.
Whether you're a seasoned sewist or you've never touched a serger before, everyone is welcome! We'll have sergers set up and ready to go, with all fabric pre-cut, so you can jump right in and start making a difference. If you're new to serging, don't worry, we'll be there to help every step of the way.
We're inviting everyone to bring new books to tuck inside the pillowcases.
We've received a few questions about the book donation, so here's the scoop:
You're not required to donate a book.
If you choose to donate a book it can be one or as many as you'd like.
Books for all ages are needed, from little ones to teens.
Imagine the joy of a child receiving not only a handmade pillowcase but also a great book to enjoy. Together, we can make each gift even more special.
Spend an hour or spend the day, drop in whenever it works for you between 10:30 AM and 3:00 PM. Bring a friend, meet fellow makers, learn a new skill, and help us spread a little love through sewing.
Let's stitch comfort, share kindness, and make a difference, one pillowcase at a time.
- Orders are processed within 2 business days (excluding weekends & holidays).
- You’ll get a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number.
- Make sure your shipping address is correct — if a package is returned, we’ll re-ship it at your expense.
